Mount Wellington Elopement – Nissa and Will
Nissa and Will’s elopement in Mount Wellington was an adventure filled with breathtaking views and personal moments. Tasmania’s Mount Wellington offers a mix of towering rock formations, dense forests, and panoramic lookouts. The vistas of Hobart are just perfect for an intimate, outdoor wedding for eloping couples like Nissa and Will.
Nissa and Will, originally from Royalla in NSW, chose to elope at Mount Wellington. They wanted to celebrate their relationship in a quiet, meaningful way, and they did just that. Their day started at Seaview, a private property, where they took the chance to make some creative shots reminiscent of classic 80s films. They were in high spirits while preparing for their Mount Wellington elopement, reflecting on their 14-year relationship that began at a “nerd camp” run by UNSW. Since their first meeting as teenagers, their humour, mutual support, and countless adventures kept their relationship strong. At some point, it was almost certain that they would tie the knot with a heartfelt ceremony atop a mountain.
They set off for Sphinx Rock Lookout to reach the perfect spot for their ceremony. The intimate setting felt right for them – Nissa and Will always knew that a large, traditional wedding wasn’t their style. Post-ceremony, the couple took photos highlighting their stunning wedding outfits and the unforgettable views that Tasmania had to offer.
The day ended back at Seaview, where Nissa and Will enjoyed a quiet dinner with close friends. For them, this wasn’t just the end of their wedding day, but a continuation of the life they built together. One filled with love, laughter, and shared experiences. This Tasmanian elopement reminded them why they chose to elope in the first place: to celebrate their bond authentic to their nature-loving selves.
As a wedding photographer, capturing their joy in such natural beauty was a dream. Nissa and Will’s relaxed nature made it easy to snap candid shots of them. Their special day was full of laughter, hiking through the trail, and taking in every moment. A Mount Wellington elopement truly captures the spirit of adventure and intimacy for couples like them.
