i’m james!
your couples photographer, and biggest cheerleader.
It won’t surprise you, but I’m a huge adventure and nature nerd, so much so that I spent 6 months living in the jungles of Madagascar back in 2010!
Because of that, more times than not, I’ll take any excuse to get into nature and explore what is out there. I’ve always found myself constantly surprised by how many wonderful sights there are out there. I live a life of creativity and curiosity and believe in challenging the status quo.
I’m into board games, camping, a nice whisky after a good hike, and bouldering! Give me street food over 5-star dining any day! I find myself constantly jumping through bushes, and running up mountains to get that perfect shot for my couples.

After our call, you’ll fill out a short questionnaire to help me understand you both a little better – your connection, your personalities, and what matters most to you. This helps me tailor the experience so it feels natural, personal, and totally you.

From what to wear to how to make the most of your location, I’ll guide you through everything leading up to your session. If you’d like recommendations for hair, makeup, or local spots, I’ve got you covered. You’ll receive simple, practical advice so you arrive relaxed and excited – not overthinking a thing.

Light, weather, crowds, and flow all matter – and this is where my experience really comes in.
I’ll help you choose the best time of day for beautiful light and calm surroundings, and we’ll map out a plan that feels easy and unrushed. Having photographed hundreds of couples, I’ll make sure everything runs smoothly so you can just enjoy the experience.

I can tell you now that within the first 5 minutes, it felt like we’d known James for years! His photography style is non-invasive, authentic, and just purely special. It’s truly something very special when you can feel like your wedding/event photographer is one of your friends!
