We wanted to elope in Australia and the biggest goal was for the day to be an adventure. When we first met with James, he listened and most importantly made sure he was the best fit for us!
He makes you a list of hotels, Airbnb’s, florist, hair and make-up, excursions – truly anything you need and want to know. I loved how James challenged us to think outside the box for our big day.
When the big day came, James was amazing to hang out with. He made us feel comfortable right out the gate and made taking pictures fun! He truly captured so many small moments of our day that I am forever grateful to have.

You’re getting me, James, for every elopement here – nearly a decade of experience. A lot of couples come to me not knowing where to start, and that’s exactly where I come in – think of me as your elopement guide, not just your photographer.
No hidden fees, no surprise invoices later on. Just the two of you, or a small handful of people who matter most. Every price here already has GST in it.
These prices cover Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the Snowy Mountains, the NSW Coast, and in and around Canberra – my travel across all of it is already built in, nothing extra to add. Somewhere else in Australia? Get in touch and I’ll put together a detailed custom quote.

The Full Story

Couples who want their elopement to feel like a real adventure – a hike, an explore through a nearby town, a seaside walk, wherever actually pulls you in. This is what most couples choose.
Everything in Ceremony & Portraits, plus:
- Getting ready or nighttime photography included – the morning, or heading out for star trails and the town at night, whichever you actually want
- Multiple locations, room to breathe and actually enjoy the day
- A handful of images, delivered within 48 hours – proof it’s all been captured beautifully, while the rest comes together
Two Days, One Story
2 days · 600+ images

inc. GSTYour elopement day, plus a second day built around you – a couple of hours together, or a full second day, priced around what you actually want.
Couples who want the whole trip to become the memory, not just one day – the anticipation, the adventure, the quiet after, every part of it held onto.
Everything in The Full Story, plus:
- Day one – your full elopement day, same coverage as The Full Story
- Day two – however you want to bookend the trip: a night out exploring together, a sunrise hike, a whole second day of adventure, from 2 to 12 hours, scoped on the call
- Most couples who add a second day say they wish they’d built it in from the start – it turns your elopement into an actual trip, not just one big day
Includes travel across Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the Snowy Mountains, the NSW Coast and Canberra
Payment plans available – a deposit secures your date, with the remainder due before your elopement

There are no words for the joy that James can bring to your day. My husband and I knew as soon as we were engaged that we wanted to build our elopement adventure with Who Shot the Photographer.
